This is our kennels foundation bitch.
Taffy was purchased in 1997 from Ann Greenbank DVM. (Verdoro Kennels)
Taffy received her championship owner handled (my first time in the ring). She has earned a Best of Breed, Puppy Group, 2nd in veteran sweeps at the 2004 Golden Retriever National, 2nd place in Brood Bitch at the 2004 Canadian Nationals and BOS in 2005 Golden Specialty Sweeps. She has produced 7 champion offspring from two litters. With a total of 8 champion progeny.
She had beautiful effortless movement, great pigmentation, great shoulders and a correct coat. Her head was boxy but feminine with very pretty features. She was a very calm, gentle golden with a lower energy level than the average golden.
She came from a very good litter where 4 other littermates received their championship.
Her sire "Surrfur" was a very famous golden in the states where he was number two for two years running.
She took mothering to the next level and continued to be the best Mom to all her adult children and her grandchildren. She took her motherhood very serious and with her as a Mom her children had no choice in becoming exceptional models for the golden retriever breed. Her wonderful genes has been carried on thru the generations of Taffy Goldens.

Bond is owned by a wonderful lady and breeder Anne Glasgow of Goldenmoments Kennels. I decided to honour Bond on my website as he is the other half of my foundation.
Bond was bred to Taffy for 2 litters and together they produced 7 champions. The 4 puppies that I kept were; Shandy, Sky, Trooper and Zazu.
After the first breeding Bond became the #1 golden in Canada. Honestly, at that time my knowledge of the breed was limited and I was at a show checking out the local studs. After Bond won the breed he flew out of the ring, jumped up at me with his big smile as if to say Hi, here I am. From that moment I was in love. Bond had so much confidence and character with such a loving, easy to live with nature, that he has passed to his offspring. Bond was everything a golden should possess. I was, and still am Bond's biggest fan. Thank you Bond for passing down your great genes. We will meet again!!

Shandy is our first home bred champion. She received two 5 point wins as a puppy and a puppy group beating 73 other puppies in group. As an adult she secured one Best of Breed and a few days before she passed away she received Best Veteran at a specialty show.
Shandy's claim to fame is her beautiful head, big bone and a temperament to die for. She was our snuggy bunny.

 | Zazu was our flashy little girl with great reach and drive. What she lacked in pigment, she made up with attitude and coat. She always had a smile on her face and a wag to her tail. This little girl loved to show.
She produced very nice puppies. She has 5 champion offspring making her an outstanding dam. Zazu passed away summer of 07 during a freak swimming accident. She will be greatly missed. |

Sky finished her championship very quickly, thank goodness, because she would rather hang out at home or go camping.
After 2 litters and 2 c sections she was spayed. Sky whelped only 2 puppies from her 1st litter and they are both champions and puppy group winners. She had 3 pups in her last litter, Chia the puppy that we kept, is passing on Sky's wonderful gentle traits, as well as Blaze.
Sky produced quality not quantity.

 | Cougar is our little girl who has "spark". Her love of life and people makes her fun to be around.
Cougar lives with her foster parents Jeff and Vi in Edmonton. Cougar's show career started by going 1st in her class at the Golden Specialty and Puppy Sweepstakes in Calgary 2005. She won 2 Best in Show fun matches as a puppy. She finished her show career by going Best of Breed over 17 goldens, including 3 specials from the open female class. She has one champion offspring - CH Taffy's Ice Cap CGN CD HIT "Buzz" After 2 beautiful litters Jeff and Vi requested that she retire from motherhood, thus she was spayed. Watch for her in the rings as a veteran. |

 | Chia has been known as an angel since she was 8 weeks.
Chia's claim to fame is her incredible front end assembly and her movement. She finished her championship with two 5 point wins and a 2 point win. After 4 beautiful litters she has retired from our breeding program and resides with my Mom, being spoiled....but she is worth it. Chia is now an outstanding dam, having 5 champion children and still more to finish. |
